Personalised Home Visits for Your Convenience

Our service primarily focuses on home visits, removing the usual barriers to seeing a GP. With us, there’s no need to:

  • Explain your symptoms to a non-medical receptionist.
  • Wait in crowded surgery waiting rooms.
  • Leave the comfort and privacy of your own home.

We believe healthcare should fit around your life, not the other way around. That’s why we aim to provide time-efficient care in the convenience of your familiar surroundings.

Ensuring Appropriate Care

While home visits are at the heart of our service, some medical concerns may not be safely managed in this setting. To ensure you receive the best care, every booking begins with a triage by our visiting GP.

Your Appointment Journey

1.Video Triage

  • When you book an appointment, you’ll have a quick video consultation with the GP.
  • This allows the GP to assess your needs, understand the nature of your issue, and prepare for your visit.
  • If a home visit isn’t suitable, the GP will inform you, and the consultation fee will cover the video session.

2. Transparent Care Plan

  • During the video triage, the GP will advise if additional travel fees apply or if more time is needed beyond the standard 30-minute visit.
  • In some cases, the GP may identify that your concern can be effectively managed remotely, saving you both time and money.

3.Home Visit

  • Upon arrival, the GP will introduce themselves, gather any further necessary information, and conduct an examination.
  • Based on their findings, the GP will provide tailored care, which may include a prescription, further investigations*, or a referral.

4.Advanced At-Home Testing and Treatments

  • Our GPs can conduct several diagnostic tests during your visit, including urine analysis, blood testing, and medication administration.
  • We’ve partnered with trusted professionals—nurses, physiotherapists, dieticians, and X-ray services—who also deliver treatments directly to your home (additional charges apply).

5.Hospital Transfers (If Needed)

  • Should you require hospitalisation, we can quickly arrange transportation with private ambulance providers, giving you the choice of NHS or private hospitals.

6.Follow-Up Care

  • After your visit, the same GP will call you within 24 hours to check on your progress and address any concerns—free of charge.
  • While most cases require one or two follow-ups, we tailor our approach to your unique needs. (Please note: follow-ups are not for discussing new issues, which would require a separate consultation.)

If you’re unable to speak to the visiting GP during the follow-up call, simply contact our office, and we’ll arrange a callback promptly.

How it works

We pride ourselves on making sure you not only receive a first-class service, but that clinical excellence and patient safety are maintained.

This service if primarily a home visiting one, based on the premise that the most time efficient care is achieved when all obstacles to seeing a GP are removed. No phoning and explaining your symptoms to a non-medical receptionist, no waiting in crowded waiting rooms and above all the convenience, comfort and privacy of being in familiar surroundings.

However, taking that into consideration we need to ensure that it is appropriate to see you at home as there are some things may not be safe to be managed in this setting.

Therefore, whenever you call to book an appointment, you will always be triaged by the visiting GP to make sure we provide the care you need.

This will take the form of a quick video consultation. This will allow the GP to gauge the nature of the problem and understand how best to serve you. It will also mean that on arrival they will be able to examine you more or less immediately.

They will tell you if additional travel fees apply and will also be able (in most cases) to tell you if they feel it can be managed in the 30-minute allocation or may require longer.

If, in the rare instance of the consultation not being amenable to a home visit, you will be charged the fee for a video consultation. Furthermore, on undertaking the video consultation the GP may discover that it is a simple problem that can actually be managed by a remote appointment, further saving you time and money. Please note this is a clinical decision and is not determined by the patient.

We have the ability to dispense medication remotely so you can rest assured if this is needed then it can be arranged.

On arrival our GP will introduce themselves, take any further history if they feel it is necessary and then examine you.

Once they have made a diagnosis, they will institute the necessary management.

This could be in the form of a prescription, further investigation* or referral.

Our GPs have the ability to do several forms of near patient testing in your home, ranging from urine analysis, blood testing and administration of some medications.

At Exec Medic, we have thought of how to make your lives as easy as possible and have teamed up with various providers (nurses, physios, dieticians and even X-ray services) who
also deliver home treatments (we can arrange these for you, and you will be billed accordingly).

We also have connections with private ambulance providers such that, in the case you need transportation to hospital this can be arranged quickly and hassle free. They can take you to either NHS or private hospital of your choosing.

Following the visit, you will be called by the GP who saw you, 24 hours later. They will check in with how you’re doing and make sure you have no concerns or queries. There will be no charge for this.

We have found that in most cases follow up only needs to be undertaken once or twice, however, we understand everyone is different and as with everything we do, this will be
tailored to your needs. Please note this is not a place to discuss any new problems that require an additional consultation.

If you are unable to speak to the visiting GP, please call our office and we will ensure they call you as soon as possible.
